Stratford Park Skating Club was founded in 1975. It is based at the Stratford Park Leisure Centre, Stroud, Gloucestershire. We keep a balance between leisure and competitive skating. Skaters of all disciplines are welcome and have their enthusiastic followers at the club with coaches and members proficient in more than one discipline. The club is affiliated to the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating, FARS.

Sunday, July 30th, 2006 - Dance Training Day - A huge success enjoyed by all. We extend special thanks to Claudia Linden for vigorous and clear explanations of dances - some of them quite difficult.
Saturday, April 1st, 2006, 19:00 to 21:00 - Easter Roller Disco and Easter egg raffle - Well attended by skaters of all ages and abilities.
Saturday, December 17th, 2005, 19:00 to 21:00 - Christmas Roller Disco - We relaxed and celebrated with fancy dress, prizes and party games.
Sunday, November 20th, 2005 - Reunion and 30th Birthday Party. Skaters from the present and past came to celebrate the Club's 30th birthday. Despite the freezing cold weather outside, it was heart warming to see so many friends.
Saturday, November 12th, 2005 - Dance Training Days with Ron and Bobby Gibbs as our guest coaches. Ron and Bobby are international judges and Ron the Chairman of FARS. Fellow skaters from clubs including Moonrakers, Lea Manor, Forest Rollers, Romford YMCA and Sherwood Rollers also attended. Our club donated the profit from the training day to the Maydaye Fund.
Saturday, November 5th, 2005 - Jenny Newby came first in a solo dance competition in Espoire in Cambridge.
Sunday, October 30th, 2005 - We attended the Medway Roller Dance Competition. Leah Tomkins got a Gold and Jenny Newby a bronze. Other participants also performed very well.
Sunday, October 9th, 2005 - Family Activity Day - Partnership with ACET, Gloucestershire County Council - The club formed a partnership with ACET (Adult Continuing Education and Training) in organizing an activities day for the Chinese community in Gloucestershire. Jenny Newby and some of our skaters supervised the skating and put on some dances. The participants clearly enjoyed the session except that they commented that it was too short. It was very enjoyable and rewarding for us to introduce skating to this community which would otherwise not have had such an opportunity.
Saturday, September 10th, 2005 - A number of the us took part in the Milton Keynes Skating Festival and triumphantly brought back many medals. Well done and bring back more next time!
